Diane
attended The London College of Music in England, where she studied
piano with Eric Hope and Raphael Terroni, and flute with Edward
Blakeman. She taught piano and flute in the U.K. for 15 years before
moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan in December 2000. Since arriving in
the United States, she has taught students of all levels and abilities,
preparing them for university entrance auditions, Student Achievement
Testing, solo and ensemble performances, scholarships, competitions and
recitals. In 2007, Diane was awarded "Teacher of the Year" honors by
the Piano Teachers' Forum of Grand Rapids.
She now lives in Orange County where she runs a private studio. |
| Performance Experience Diane
has been very active as an accompanist for competitions, master classes,
recitals, festivals and examinations. She has also performed in
numerous ensembles, such as duets and trios and played in the annual 8-piano concert in Grand Rapids, MI.
On the flute Diane appeared several times as a soloist with the Aylesbury Music Centre Dance Band (one of the top youth jazz bands in the UK), including at the Birmingham International Jazz Festival. She was a soloist with the Charles Pope Orchestra in the same town and was also a member of the Aylesbury Orchestra for several years. |
