Duet lessons offer a dynamic and collaborative learning experience where students come together to play piano pieces designed for two performers. These lessons foster musical communication, teamwork, and listening skills as students learn to synchronize timing, dynamics, and expression with their duet partner.
Before beginning duet lessons, private lessons are essential to ensure each student thoroughly learns their individual part. This focused individual practice builds confidence and technical accuracy, allowing duet sessions to be more productive and enjoyable. Once students are comfortable with their parts, duet lessons provide the opportunity to refine ensemble playing, develop musical synergy, and experience the joy of creating music together.

Our monthly group theory lessons provide an engaging and interactive environment for students to deepen their understanding of music theory. These sessions cover essential concepts like note reading, rhythm, scales, chords, key signatures, and musical analysis — all crucial for developing well-rounded musicianship.
Learning theory in a group setting encourages collaboration and peer learning, with activities and games that make complex concepts more accessible and enjoyable. These lessons complement private piano instruction, helping students apply theoretical knowledge directly to their playing, enhancing sight-reading, improvisation, and overall musical comprehension.
Whether preparing for exams or simply wanting to enrich their musical journey, students benefit from connecting with others while building a solid foundation in music theory.

Private theory lessons offer personalised, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s learning pace and goals. These lessons dive into essential music theory concepts such as notation, rhythm, intervals, scales, chords, harmony, and musical analysis, providing a solid foundation for both practical playing and exam preparation.
With individualised attention, students can explore theory topics in depth, ask questions freely, and work through challenging concepts at their own speed. Lessons are carefully structured to complement piano studies, helping students apply theoretical knowledge to their pieces, improve sight-reading, and develop a deeper understanding of musical structure and expression.
Ideal for students preparing for exams or those wanting to enhance their musical comprehension, private theory lessons provide the focused guidance needed to build confidence and mastery in music theory.
